Viktor Yushchenko

The former President of Ukraine Viktor Yuschenko enters the building of Pechersk District Court, where consideration of a case against Batkivshchyna Party leader and former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko takes place, in Kiev, on Wednesday, August 17, 2011. This day Viktor Yuschenko testified as a witness in the case against Timoshenko concerning the exceeding of authority and the abuse of office in the signing of gas contracts with Russia in 2009. Yushchenko charged Timoshenko on betraying Ukraine's national interests by agreeing to an inflated price.
