Ukrainian transport-aircraft An-70
The UNIAN archive. Ukrainian transport-aircraft An-70 of the Kyiv-based Antonov Construction Bureau, broken-down on January 27, 2001 in Omsk outskirts (Russia) conducted there its first after the accident test flight on Tuesday, June 5, 2001. The flight passed normally, all the systems functioning. On January 27, 2001 AN-70 force-landed after the gradual breakdown of two of the four engines, seriously damaged hull and broke in two parts. Knock-down it was transported to the Omsk-based Aerodynamic Unit «Poliot» and within three month was completely restored. The aircraft will be presented on June 6 on the international armament exhibition «BTTB-Omsk-2001». After trial in Kyiv the aircraft will be tested in conditions of hot climate in Joint Arabic Emirates of Libya. In winter Ant70 will continue testing in conditions of low temperature in Yakutia and freezing conditions in Arkhangelska oblast.
