Aircraft AN-70
The UNIAN Archive. Ukrainian Transport Aircraft of the Kyiv's Antonov Design Office when flying. On Saturday, Jan. 27, 2001 at 1.43 in the Omsk-based airport (Russia) 4 minutes after take-off, when carrying out the emergency landing the An-70 met with an accident. The airplane fulfilled the test-pilot flight in the low-temperature conditions on the track Omsk-Yakutsk. 22 passengers and 11 crew members - all the Ukrainian citizens - were on board a plane. In the course of the crash 4 persons were traumatized, 2 of them were take to te hospital the rest part go? light bodily injuries. According to the preliminary data, the accident was caused by the failure of two left engines. The cooler parts of the aircraft were damaged when landing.
