Picket of disabled miners

The industrial invalids from the Yu. Gagaryn mine (Gorlovka, Donetskaya Oblast) pass the May 13-14 night, 1999 near the entrance of the Ministry of Coal Industry of Ukraine in Kyiv. The 130 miners-industrial invalids and their wives, who arrived in Kyiv on May 13, picket the Ministry. The only demand is the payment of pension debts for 12-14 months to miners-industrial invalids. The average pension makes up Hr.150 per month. According to Yury Podatko, the non-formal leader of pickets, they were told that the demands would not be satisfied.
