Huge Easter cake

A baker near the layers of the huge Easter cake, in Yalta village (Donetsk region), on Saturday, April 23, 2011. The biggest in Ukraine Easter cake is planned to weigh 1.5 tons. The previous biggest Easter cake was 450 kg weight. It was made by the bakers of Dnepropetrovsk region in 2009. To cook the Easter cake more than 7000 eggs, 300 kg of butter, more than 1 ton of flour, about 500 litres of milk, 10 kg of salt, 250 kg of raisins, 350 kg of sugar, 80 kg of yeast and 290 g of vanillin were needed. On April 24 on the central square of the village the representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records will register a new record. Then the Easter cake will be given to people.
