Timoshenko conducted the conference with participation of chairmen of village and settlements soviets

During the meeting Yulia Tymoshenko said that she will initiate a forming of Council of chairmen of village and settlement councils under the Cabinet of Ministers. “ I want to propose you the order, which has not existed for village and settlement chairmen. I propose you to form at our meeting today the Council of chairmen of village and settlement councils under the Cabinet of Ministers, in order this body function permanently and that people, who represent this body, know you problems, which you face every day”, said Yulia Tymoshenko. According to her words, a representative of Council of chairmen of village and settlements councils will take part in every session of the government. “Every Wednesday – without exception. In order they hear and know what decisions are made”, she explained. “This Council under the government is needed for three issues. Firstly, for raising a problem at the governmental level. Secondly, it is for improving statutory acts, which we need, - or introducing amendments, or adjustment, or addition.
