Participants of celebration of the Heroes Holiday in Kiev

Participants of Heroes holiday in Kyiv, on Saturday, May 23, 2009. The wreath-laying ceremony to fighters for freedom of Ukraine, people’s popular assembly in support of brotherhood of OUN –UIA and a march of the occasion of the holiday took place. Heroes Holiday is a memory day of Ukrainians, who lived and worked in the sake of development and formation of Ukraine. Participants of Heroes Holiday honoring the memory of perished in different times distinguished figures of the Ukrainian liberation movement of princely and Cossacks epochs, Ukrainian revolution times and World War the Second times, ten years of national resistance of OUN –UIA and time of rebirth of the Ukrainian statehood, and also of alive heroes of Ukraine, veterans of the national-liberation movement.
