Opposition leaders hold candles near Georgia parliament
Opposition leaders holding candles near the parliament of Georgia on Repentance Day, in Tbilisi (Georgia), on Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Representatives of leadership of Georgia headed by the President of Georgia and leaders of opposition, who demand resignation of the head of the state, came to church for repentance prayer this day. Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II announced April 28 as a Repentance Day in a whole country and called upon politicians to come the cathedrals. There was a mass, where the prayer on absolution of past sins was pronounced, took place in all active cathedrals of the country.
