Kakha Shartava and Kakha Kukava

This day the President of Georgia met with representatives of opposition for the first time for 14 days period of ceaseless protest actions. According to the words of opposition’ s representatives, negotiations did not bring any results. At the same time Mikheil Saakashvili said that the negotiations became a step to civilized discussion and he added that he is ready to propose to oppositionists responsible posts in different institutions. Oppositionists keep on insisting on resignation of Mikheil Saakashvili from post of the President of Georgia. Also M. Saakashvili expressed a proposition to start a joint work on electoral legislation and judicial system reform. He proposed to opposition “with an aim of lessening of tense situation” to stop investigations and further pursuit on all facts of infringements of the laws during protest actions.
