The opposition protest actions continue in Tbilisi. The leader of United opposition announced a civil disobedience action on April 10, 2009, from 18.00 pm (on local time). He said that every day from 15.00 pm up to 21.00 pm the opposition will gather its adherents in three parts of the city – in front of the parliament, in front of the National Television and on road, which leads to the residence of the President. Action participants will gather in front of the parliament at 21.00 pm where they will discuss plans for the next day. The Georgian opposition began mass protest actions on April 9 with a demand of resignation of the Georgian President and gave him 24 hours to make a decision. On April 10, the President said that he is not about to leave his post during the nearest four years and called upon members of the opposition to dialogue. On Tuesday, April 14, adherents of opposition started mounting the first cages in Tbilisi. According to the words of leader of "United opposition" Levan Gachicheladze, cages symbolize that Georgia turned to the police state.
