Inter-Parliamentary Conference

Anatoly Malafeev, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Byelorussian State Assembly is giving interview to journalists after the first day of Inter-Parliamentarian Conference "Belarus, Russia, Ukraine - experience and problems of integration" in Kyiv (Thursday, June 10, 1999). About 250 parliamentarians from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Yugoslavia as well as the delegation of the CIS inter-Parliamentary Assembly took part in the conference. In the course of the conference the representatives from Russia and Belarus support the joining of Ukraine the Belarus and Russia Union. The representatives of Byelorussian Party proposed to conduct the similar conference in Byelorussia - in Viskulyakh (Belovezhskaya dense)in autumn of the current year, and discuss the question about the Union of Ukraine, Russia and Byelorussia, as well as to confirm the Anthem of the aforesaid Union.
