Inter-Parliamentary Conference

Egor Stroyev (on the left), the Chairman of the Federation Council, embraces Grigory Kryuchkov, the VR Chairman for the National Security and Defense Affairs, after the first working day of the inter-Parliamentary Conference "Belarus, Russia, Ukraine - the experience and problems of integration" near the VR building (Kyiv, Thursday, June 10, 1999). About 250 parliamentarians from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Yugoslavia as well as the delegation of the CIS inter-Parliamentary Assembly took part in the conference. In the course of the conference the representatives from Russia and Belarus support the joining of Ukraine the Belarus and Russia Union. The representatives of Russia marked that the Russia and Belarus Union is the "Illegal organization" and "it is not serious to speak about the Union" without Ukraine. Photo by Sergey Demidov/UNIAN
