On June 25, 2011 Prosecutor General’s Office of Kiev has finished a pre-trial investigation on the case of the former Chairman of the Shevchenko district of Kiev State Administration Victor Pilipishin. After Pilipishin will study the case, it will be transferred to the court. By the information of Prosecutor General’s Office, Pilipishin faces from 3 to 6 years in prison. He is suspected of committing a crime under Part 3 of article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - abuse of power or official authority while privatization of premises by one of the societies in Pobedy avenue in Kiev, the total area of 3,220 square meters. A harm to city is equal to over 15 million UAH (1,875,000 USD). A building of the night school No. 5 was unlawfully given to a private entity. Goloseevo District Court of Kiev issued a decree on the arrest and delivery of Pilipishin to the court to elect him a measure of restraint - the taking into custody. However, he was not detained because he was on treatment.
