Contamination of the sea by fuel oil

A bird, contaminated by fuel oil near Tuzla, Crimea, Tuesday, 13 of November 2007. According to Ministry for emergency situations of Ukraine November, 13 there were two spots of oil in Azov sea (1 km long and 200 m width). In the contaminated by fuel oil sea birds perish ashore. And although in the sea work on cleaning from oil and fuel oil continues, fuel oil begins to fall down to bottom, that is dangerous for fish. The Kerch channel is the main way of fish migration from the Black sea to Azov. Not only fuel oil is dangerous for nature but also sulphur, about seven thousand tons already lying on the bottom.
