Ukrainian soldier counts rifles seized from Iraqi fighters in al-Kout, Vasit province, Southern Iraq, Tuesday, April 13, 2004. The situation stabilized after American subdivisions had enhanced their position on the outskirts of al-Kout. But USA position in Iraq was shaken owing to rebel actions. 8 employers of Russian company “Interenergoservice” including 5 citizens of Ukraine were seized as hostages in Baghdad on April 12.
