Ancient locomotive Kukushka

Fragments of disassembled museum locomotive ”Kukushka” (”Cuckoo”) are seen at the metal scrap base in Yasinovataya town, eastern Ukraine, on Feb. 25, 2004. Jan. 29, 2004 the locomotive was stolen from the territory of ”ExpoDonbass” exhibition center in Donetsk where it had to be exhibited at the opening of the State museum of Ukraine’s industrial history. The real value of ”Kukushka” hasn’t been estimated yet. Police presumes the locomotive was stolen for metal scrap purpose. Specialists are sure it’s possible to restore it.UNIAN photo
