Famous Ukrainian traveler 46-year-old historian from Dnipropetrovsk Sergey Gordiienko is seen with his Labrador dog Peleng-Rumb as he leaves Ukraine's southern town of Khersones starting his world tour through Ukraine, eastern Russia, Japan, Kurile and Aleutian Islands, Alaska, Canada, US and Europe without any technical equipment, on Monday, Dec. 1, 2003. No one has ever done such a trip before so if he's successful it will be a world record.
