A young woman hesitates as she is about to jump down from the 8-th floor balcony of the 9-floor apartment building in downtown Kiev on Friday, Nov. 21, 2003. Over three hours police officers, rescuers, doctors, friends and gapers were trying to persuade the woman not to commit suicide. The 29-year-old woman was rescued and didn't tell any word ever since.
