A soldier of Ukrainian anti-chemical forces who stays in Kuwait since the end of March 2003 smiles as he meets his colleagues at US military base El-Kiot, some 40km away from Iraqi boundary, the temporary dislocation place of Ukrainian peacekeeping troops in Kuwait on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003. The temperature in Kuwait is 55 degrees Celsius in shadow. A human can't stay in the sun more than two hours. Monday morning, Aug. 11, 2003 the first column of Ukrainian peacekeepers as part of US stabilisation forces crossed the Kuwait-Iraq boundary and moved to its permanent dislocation in Al Kut town, Vasit province.
