Mobile robot ”Pioneer” in Chernobyl nuclear power station

The American Radiation-proof mobile robot "Pioneer" shows its technical possibilities at the presentation in front of the installation "Ukrytie" ('Sarcophagus') over the destroyed the 4th Unit of Chernobyl APS ( Thursday, May 27, 1999). It is planned, that the robot, whose elaboration have cost $2 millions to USA Ministry of Power Engineering and NASA, will be used inside the 'sarcophagus'.
