Andriy Zholdak

Famous Ukrainian producer Andriy Zholdak claims he's going to make Kharkiv the heart of Ukraine's theater art during the press-conference in Ukraine's capital Kiev Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002. Zholdak has been recently invited to head Kharkiv's Taras Shevchenko state academic theater. 2003 he plans to present his two new plays - "One day of Ivan Denysovych" by Alexander Solzhenitsyn and "A month in a village" by Ivan Turgenev. Zholdak says he is going to bring "One day of Ivan Denysovych" to Ukrainian spectators in an unusual way. Thus, all the actors participating in the play are to live in cages with 40 dogs for a month.
