Sergei Morozov, a second-year student of Donbass Mining and Smelting Institute, examines a burial site of an ancient miner excavated in Ukraine's eastern Lugansk region Sunday, August 11, 2002. Nobody has worked there since bygone days. Three thousand years ago, miners extracted copper ore on the territory of the Bakhmut hollow, during the period of flourishing of ancient Egyptian civilization. Ancient miners were highly experienced, experts say. According to preliminary results, thousands tonns of copper ore which is quite a lot for those times.
