Georgia's president Eduard Shevardnadze is greeted by girls dressed in national Ukrainian costumes with traditional bread-and-salt as he arrived at airport in Ukraine's Black Sea port of Sevastopol on Friday, July 19, 2002. Shevardnadze arrived in Ukraine to take part in a two-day regional GUUAM alliance summit in Yalta. Presidents of four former Soviet republics of Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova and Azerbaijan launched their meeting to discuss lifting trade barriers and boosting economic cooperation. The delegations are expected to sign an agreement to create free trade zone and a declaration to maintain security and combat terrorism and organized crime across the region.
