Ukraine's President Leonid Kuchma throws off in anger a pair of peasant' straw shoes that he received from an opposition Socialist party member Yuriy Lutsenko as he delivered his annual address to the parliament, in Kiev, Ukraine, on Tuesday, June 18, 2002. According to a folk gesture, handing over a pair of straw shoes is a symbolic and abusive act of intent to dismiss that Lutsenko used to make hints about presidential impeachment.
