Participants of the meeting

Leftist adherents take part in the meeting in honor of the 84th anniversary since October Revolution in Lugansk on Wednesday, Nov 7, 2001. This day three meetings took place in the city. The one of them was organized by local organization “Antimafia”, the second – by Russian movement of Ukraine and ZUBR. The most numerous was the meeting organized by the Communist PU, Socialistic PU and Komsomol PU. Some 2 thousands of local dwellers, mainly pensioners, took part in it. The protesters required the restoring of the November 7 holiday, foundation of the Russian-tongue TV-channel in Ukraine and retirement of the Ukrainian President. Photo by Oleh Prytkin/ UNIAN
