A boy lights a candle at the Easter cakes in Evpatoria (Crimea), on Saturday, April 14, 2012. Easter cake is a traditional food in the Orthodox Christian faith that is eaten on Easter. Traditionally after the Easter service, Easter cake, which has been put into a basket and decorated with colourful flowers, is blessed by the priest. Blessed kulich is eaten before breakfast each day. Easter cake is baked in tall, cylindrical tins (like coffee or fruit juice tins), and when cooled is decorated with white icing (which is slightly drizzled down the sides), colourful flowers, and XB is decorated on the side. In ancient Russian cuisine there are about 20 types of Easter cakes. Photo by Aleksey Suvirov / UNIAN
