Winner of the first round of the all-Ukrainian Women Beauty Festival “Charming Lady» singer Svetlana Smolina prepares for the coming out on the stage during the festival, Sunday, Oct 28, 2001, Zaporizhzhia. Festival is conducted for women, 25-40, successful both in carrier and private life. 12 competitors were selected from the 65 candidates. The jury consisted of men, including leaders of model agencies, local authorities, and businessmen. The participants presented the whole spectrum of activity of women in society – business-lady, TV-star, professional singer, sportsmen, etc. All the 12 participants were awarded by various ranks, while the winner got a gold ring decorated by a diamond.
