Maxim Popov
Ukrainian citizen, student of the Kyiv’s Linguistic University Maxim Popov, arrested in the USA and accused in the hacking of computer system of the Western Union Bank. On the Oct 5, 2001 Maxim’s parents conducted the press conference in the UNIAN Agency. They expressed utter trouble at the situation that their son occurred in American prison and is threatened, biased investigation, his depressed state. According to them, Maxim could not be the computer hacker, as he is not even a PC user. Popov was took out in USA by fraudulent way in the course of special operation of the USA’s FBI, investigating the case of computer hacking at the Western Union bank in this August-October.
