Vladimir Oliynyk, the candidate for the President of Ukraine, the Mayor of c.Cheboksary, takes the ball out of the lottery-machine during the sortition in the Central Election Committee in Kyiv (Friday, August 13, 1999). The same day the CEC conducted the sortition between the candidates for the President in order to determine the appearance time on the UT-1 (television), UR-1 (radio) and space in "Holos Ukrainy", "Uryadovy Kurier" newspapers at the expense of the State Budget. The sortition was carried out among the 14 candidates, registered by the CEC. 16 numbers were drawn in the course of the sortition. The rest 2 numbers will be drawn in the case if one more candidate will be registered. The UNIAN correspondent informs that, according to the CEC resolution, the candidates will be allowed the newspaper space of 7,800 printed marks. In particular, in the "Holos Ukrainy" starting from the August 17 till the September 23, in the "Uryadovy Kurier" starting from the September 23, till the October 24 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
