Kyiv’s Lybed Hotel

On Monday, August 13, 2001 during the meeting of Alexander Omelchenko with USA Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in Ukraine Carlos Pascual the latter informed that American businessmen are intended to invest money in reconstruction of the Lybed Hotel and construction of the restaurant on the European Square in Kyiv. Besides, in the framework of the Lybed's reconstruction project the American party in the nearest future will conduct the meeting of the hotel's shareholders. During the meeting the ambassador rated highly the level of preparations for the celebration of the 10th anniversary of Independence of Ukraine and informed that large American delegation, composed, in particular, of famous American Congressmen will arrive in Kyiv for celebration.
