Boris Yeltsin, the President of Russia declared the Prime Minister Sergey Stepashin about the dismissal of the Russian Government. The same day Yeltsin appointed Vladimir Putin as temporary acting as the Prime Minister of Russia, simultaneously introducing in the structure of Federal Bodies of the executive power the position of the Third First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government.
