COMM The reserve The Narcissus valley in town Hust, Transcarpathians, Wednesday, May 24, 2006. “Narcissus valley” is the unique botanic object, where the largest number of narrow-leaved narcissuses (Narcissus angustifolius) in Middle Europe grow. This Alpine sort of narcissus is widespread in the Alps, Balkans, Carpathians at the height of 1100-2060 m. “Narcissus valley” is situated at the height of 180-200 m. Narcissuses are usually blooming from May 1 till 22. However, their blooming period was shifted a little bit this year because of unusually cold spring. Photo by Oles Timar / UNIAN
