Rescure work on the site of railway accident on the sattion Plysky, Konotop department of southwestern raiway Borzyansky region, Chernihivska oblast on Tuesday, July 24, 2001 This day at 4 p. m. the passenger train № 198 Kyiv-Akmola (Kazakhstan) run into rolling stock, which moved on red light of the semaphore. Some 600 passenger were in the ten train's carriages. There were 4 people on the platform, three of them died: carman and two workers. 8 people were hospitalized, including 4 Kazakhstan citizens. 17 passengers received medical aid just on the site. The fist electronic locomotive's section and rolling stock were thrown off the rails in the course of the accident. The second electronic locomotive's section and first train's carriage completely burnt down , the second carriage burnt partially. Some 180 people, helicopter, restoring and fire trains, 37 units of sanitary and special techniques were attracted to restore the ways.
