This day Pechersk District Court has rejected the defense’s petition to change the measure of restraint imposed on Yulia Timoshenko and adjourned the trial until 9 am on Thursday, August 25. Timoshenko was brought to trial on charges of abuse of office during the signing of gas contracts with Russia in 2009.
