Militiamen do not let the press in the courtroom
Militiamen do not let the representatives of the press into a courtroom of the Court of Appeal, where a criminal case under Article 368 part 3 of the Criminal Code (bribery in especially large scale by officials in positions of responsibility, by previous concert by a group of persons) concerning the former head of the State Commission for Regulating Markets of Financial Services Vasiliy Volga was considered, in Kiev, on Friday, July 29, 2011. The Court of Appeals has left without changes the decision on placing into custody the former head of the State Commission for Regulating Markets of Financial Services Vasiliy Volga. Volga remains under arrest. As reported, the court did not satisfy an appeal of Volga's lawyer Oleg Korol. Volga was not present at the hearing, although he demanded this in his appeal. Korol was also absent at the hearing. Several dozen supporters of the Union of Left Forces gathered outside the court.
