The captain of the experimental research "Kniaginia Olga" ship-boat
The captain of the experimental research "Kniaginia Olga" ship-boat and the expedition's idea-keeper Sergey Voronov demonstrates the icon of his crew's protector as well as the all seafarers' and travellers' one St.Nikolay after successful "Kiev Rus" expedition on Wednesday, July, 11 in Kiev. The expedition got through the central part of the "from Varangian to Greeks" (1700 km) way visiting Peterbourg, Novgorod, Smolensk, Mogiliov. The "Kniaginia Olga" ship-boat is the most exact, annals-based constructed, acting replica of ancient Slavic boats of X century. St.Nikolay's icon of XIII century was presented for the crew by the Novgorodian archaeologists.
