Soldiers of «Grifon» take out Aleksandr Chornovolenko
Soldiers of Special Forces "Grifon" taking out people's deputy of Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc Chornovolenko Aleksandr from the courtroom of Kiev Pechersk district court, in Kiev, on Monday, July 11, 2011. This day, soldiers of special forces "Grifon" took out from the courtroom of Kiev Pechersk district court people's deputy of Our Ukraine–People's Self-Defense Bloc Chornovolenko Aleksandr. The corresponding order was made by the judge Rodion Kireyev, presiding at the trial of the case of the former Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Timoshenko. This decision was made after people's deputy said that the judge is "helping to build an authoritarian state" by his actions. Kireyev turned to the soldier of "Grifon" with a request to find the person who said it. After that Chornovolenko introduced himself to the judge, noting that he is a people's deputy. Despite this, the judge gave the order to take Chernovolenko out from the courtroom. Six soldiers of "Grifon" surrounded Chornovolenko and took him out. In the courtroom there were cries that the officers have no right to do this, since the status of people's deputy prohibits them to do it. This day Kiev Pechersk district court continues consideration of the criminal case against Batkivshchyna Party leader and former Prime Minister Yulia Timoshenko on charges of abuse of office during the signing gas contracts with Russia in 2009.
