Monument to Khristo Botev

A monument to the Bulgarian poet and revolutioner Khristo Botev (1848-1876) in Botiyev (Zaporozhye region), on Friday, June 24, 2011. The Bulgarians settled in the Zaporozhye region in 1861 from Bessarabia. Considerable part of the population of Primorye, Azov and Berdyansk districts has Bulgarian origin.
