An old “Shakhtar” stadium
COMM ARCHIVE UNIAN An old “Shakhtar” stadium in Donetsk. It is planning to build a manege and training fields of “Shakhtar” soccer club at the place of the stadium in the near time. The new stadium of “Shakhtar” club will be built not far from the old one. The old “Shakhtar” stadium was to set in operation in 1936, four times it was reconstructed (in 1950, in 1966, in 1981 and in 1950). On the 15th of October, 1995 there was an explosion followed by the death of “Shakhtar” club Akhat Bragin (Alik Grek) and 8 persons else. Photo by UNIAN
