The victims' mothers and widows
The victims' mothers and widows with portraits and candles in their hands are listening the sentence in the case on the mine after Barakov accident (80 killed) in Krasnodon city local court on Friday, July, 6. A former mine director is sentenced for 5 years imprisonments (conditionally), a mining foreman, one of seven people, who survived - 4 years (conditionally), chief engineer - 3,5 year, a senior mechanic and area supevisor - each for 5 years. Lawsuit lasted almost seven months. The widows and relatives were sitting in law-court hall mourning dressed; when proclaiming they held the portraits of their losted and burning candles. The widows remained dissatisfied with the sentence. They consider a mine's director Vladimir Dokuchaev to be a principal culprit. The womenfolks declared about their intention to make a complaint in higher judicial instance.
