Half-ruined missile pit

Operator shoots a half-ruined missile pit of strategic missiles, in Pervomaysk district of Nikolayev region, on Friday, June 16, 2011. According to All-Ukrainian Center of contribution to entrepreneurial business, in Pervomaysk and Krivoozersk regions of Nikolayev region a situation exists which threatens mass poisoning of people and territory by toxic components of rocket fuel. According to the center, such disastrous consequences can follow an unprofessional dismantling of missile launchers. The mines were demilitarized in the early 2000s. In the summer of 2000, this territory was declared an ecological disaster zone, after more than 500 people (half of them are children under 14 years) suffered as a result of poisoning by toxic substances. According to investigators, it could be the components of hypertoxic rocket fuel - heptyl.
