Valeriy Ivasyuk

The member of the Verkhovna Rada temporary panel on the journalist Georgiy Gongadze's disappearance, expert Valeriy Ivasyuk at the Kiev airport after arriving from England, where in February he got a political refuge, on Wednesday July 4, 2001 in Kiev. Ivasyuk got a political refuge in the Great Britain because of the Ukrainian security service threatening for him as for the expert on Gongadze's disappearance. According to Ivasyuk he is under the British protection even in Ukraine. According to SBU spokesman service, Ivasyuk was invited to SBU in January as former (1994-1998) Head of the National AIDC Committee for give his explanations on the matter of questionable $3 m.
