Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin, Prime Minister of Ukraine Nikolay Azarov have taken part in an official ceremony on the occasion of the 150th anniversary since the reburial of Taras Shevchenko, also known as Kobzar, a personality of great national importance for Ukrainians. Litvin and Azarov also attended a Litia served by Metropolitan of Cherkassy and Kanev Sofroniy and paid a floral tribute to the Kobzar Monument on Chernecha Mountain. Ukraine and the Russian Federation mark the 150th anniversary of Taras Shevchenko's reburial on May 14-23 under the auspices of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly.
