Participants of festival

Participants of the ceremony of opening of a new season in Kiev Rus Park in Kopatchev village (Kiev region), on Saturday, April 30, 2011. Kiev Rus Park, a centre of the Kievan Rus culture and history, has officially opened the season 2011. This year, guests may enjoy athletic battles, archery contests, tilting matches, balloon journeys, musical and artistic performances, motorcycle shows, etc. According to the President of the charitable organization "The Slavic Foundation", the author of Kiev Rus Park project Vladimir Yanchenko, five large international festivals are scheduled for this year, including "Kievan Rus of the 8th century" (May 21-22), "Chivalry of the 15th century: carrying a fortress" (June 18-19), "Tales of ancient Kyiv - 9th-11th centuries" (August 27-28), "Guests of ancient Kyiv - 15th century" (September 24-25), the archery contest "Arrows of ancient Kiev" (October 8).
