"Bulat" tank

"Bulat" tank on the territory of State enterprise "Malyshev Plant" in Kharkov, on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. This day state enterprise "Malyshev Plant” made the first shipment of armored personnel carriers BTR-4 (26 vehicles) to Iraq. According to General Director of SE "Malyshev Plant”, deliveries are carried out under a contract between Ukraine and Iraq, which was signed in 2009. BTR-4 was worked by Kharkov Morozov design office. The first batch of vehicles was produced on the manufacturing base of this enterprise. The first batch was produced in quite difficult circumstances and in a short time. Iraqi customers when signing the acceptance report had little comment to the machines. He also noted that now the plant will begin the work on a second batch of 62 APCs. Terms of delivery to Iraq have not been determined yet. In 2009 Ukraine signed a contract with Iraq for delivery of 420 BTR units till March 2012. The contract stipulated the delivery of An-32 planes and aircraft technical maintenance.
