Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Chairman Vladimir Litvin during Ukrainian parliament session in Kiev, on Thursday, March 3, 2011. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the law “On imposition of alternations to the Law ”On Customs tariffs of Ukraine” (concerning customs duties for the range of grains)”. The legislative act imposed changes to the Customs tariff of Ukraine on establishment of zero import duties for buckwheat, instead of the previous duties at the level of 20%. At the same time, on March 3 the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine #168 dd. February 9, 2011, came into force, which allows to the local government authorities to regulate wholesale cost price for buckwheat groats on the domestic market. Photo by Andrey Skakodub / UNIAN
