Head of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the USSR (1985-1990) Valentina Shevchenko and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin during a premiere of the film "Women of Chernobyl" (directed by Nikolay Burnos) in Kiev, on Friday, February 25, 2011. Film had been shot on the initiative of Valentina Shevchenko, Head of the Presidium of the Verkhovna Rada of the USSR (1985-1990) with the assistance of the Congress of Women Business Owners of Ukraine. Protagonists are mothers and wives of liquidators, women-doctors, and those, who helped in evacuation and gave a roof by suffering in the first days of tragedy.
