Sky Mall Commercial center where the roof collapsed, in Kiev, on Thursday, February 17, 2011. The roof of the Sky Mall Commercial center collapsed on February 17. 500 square meters of mall space was damaged. One of Kiev's newest shopping malls, Sky Mall occupies over 63,000 square meters. All visitors and shop keepers at the mall have been evacuated. Two women were injured. One was taken to hospital with numerous lacerations, while the second refused hospitalization. The Prosecutor's Office of Dniprovskiy district of Kiev opened a criminal case into the violation of safety regulations (Part 1 of Article 275 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
