The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Law "On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine "On the Judicial System and the Status of Judges" (Special Training of the Candidates for the Office of a Judge). The Law improves the procedure of appointing the judges to the office of a judge for the first time; regulates the issues on the training of the candidates for the office of a judge; and supports effective work of the bodies in charge of selecting the judges. It also improves the principles regulating procedure of the judges appointing till the moment of complete implementation of the norms on special training and also regulate an order of appoint to the office of persons passed the qualification test before the Law "On the Judicial System and the Status of Judges" came into effect but are not recommended for the office of a judge because vacant offices lack.
