Cornel Ionescu assured the Head of the Ukrainian Parliament of the intentions of the Romanian Party to boost the bilateral dialogue on the problematic issues. He expects the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to facilitate the process. "There are no problems in the relations between our states that can not be resolved. I would like to be an advocate of good relations between Bucharest and Kyiv", Cornel Ionescu stated. Vladimir Litvin promised to exert his efforts to intensify inter-parliamentary Ukrainian-Romanian relations. He stated that the Ukrainian Parliament was ready to host the official visit of the leaders of both chambers of the Romanian Parliament. "We are looking forward to the open dialogue with the Romanian parliamentarians. We will discuss our common matters instead of searching for discrepancies and issues that split our nations", he declared. According to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, "strengthening of cooperation will help to settle sensitive issues in the relations between Ukraine and Romania."
